Anubis Pendant, Egyptian Jackal-Head God of the Afterlife, Sterling Silver — Hand-Pierced One of a Kind, Handmade by a Field Paleontologist

Anubis — the jackal-headed god the ancient Egyptians trusted to guide souls and guard the dead — here as a hand-cut sterling silver pendant. The profile is pierced and sawn by hand so the negative space does as much work as the metal, with a small bezel-set cabochon for the eye. Clean, graphic, and a little bit ancient. Finished front and back, the way I was taught.

Handmade by Bob Boscarelli — field paleontologist and silversmith & lapidary working from Soquel, California. He studied jewelry at Cabrillo College under Dawn Nakanishi, whose rule stuck with him: make the back as nice as the front. Part of his Cyberzoic studio collection; arrives with a small card telling its story.
